The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.

adventurous first set......it felt like Phish were willing to get loose and explore a little bit early on......i was convinced of the spontaneity...... color me thrilled cuz they played NICU and Horn together (ala Hampton)......heard my first Sugar Shack......TTE actually had a cool jammed out section, as well as an incredible lighting cue when Trey made an entrance on one of those solo phrases deep into the jam......it was an incredible moment.
Cool vocals on Drowned! Really solid, slow burning, gradually building jams on Jibboo, and Gin. Always thrilled to hear My Friend, My Friend. Got my first SOAM. Finally. Vocals put me underwater for a little while, excellent. Then I started to get impressed with how long the second set was going. Endurance!!! When I thought they were sure to leave, they did Harry and Golgi. It had already long since become a total blast of course.
Lastly, I loved the encore choices. Fee w/ megaphone. And a way out there NO2 and Kung. Pretty incredible, all firsts for me, I think. Whatever Phish can spare the midwest in terms of energy, passion, and creativity - I'll take it.
To be there was an all-around fun show. Great weather (though very hot), beautiful sunset in that strip of visible horizon to the southwest, crescent moon sinking towards the south as the first set ended, saw a couple Perseids shooting stars across the night sky amidst the glow stick wars.
