The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
Or don't, because that would be cheating and would especially suck for those folks who are working on figuring it out fair and square.
And for what it's worth, if he really does have #3 I'd be shocked if he didn't have leads on the other two by now..."
I wasnt able to jump from 3 to 1 and 2 as easily as you figured..."
Did you notice that #3 was played in Canada? Anyway, these aren't supposed to be impossible, but we'll see how it goes before abandoning the new format. Sweet, thanks, I'm glad to hear it! Sort of levels the playing field a bit, because no one is just going to waltz in and take it without a second thought. If you work for it, you can get it, but it's not just about the amount of time you're willing to spend -- there's still the typical MJM intuition involved, like pinpointing the era / key / venue type etc., and the puzzle aspect makes it a little more interesting too I think. Next week will be interesting for sure...
