I get the joke intent, but that is kinda like the hypocritcal saying "I don't mean to offend you, but..." Those who complain about crowd interaction will be mad at kids balls rolling on their lawn when they are old. Live a little, clap, join the crowd. Phish snobbery is disgusting and contrary to the community. The band and the crowd are a yin and yang, and the more interactive of a crowd, the better the energy and result from the band.
