MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 473

Welcome to the 473rd edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the second (and second-to-last) of July. The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the song and date of the mystery clip. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Stay safe!

Answer: Congrats to @perpg on his sixth win - just one more till the promised land! This week he quickly identified the insane 7/18/93 "Run Like an Antelope," well worth a listen. MJM474 coming shortly...

mcgrupp81 A rare instance where I know it after the first couple of notes! I don’t know whether to interpret that as a badge of fandom, shame, or both.

Another random note. I have been listening to the 80s shows and obviously they played Dog Log a lot more frequently then than they do now. I was thinking about what exactly the reaction is of non-Phish fans when someone explains to them that they are super pumped the band played a song focused on dog crap.

Zands I honestly kinda want to know how the band gets to this. Might have to do a bit of a dive into the catalog myself!
I always appreciate some good rhythm based jams.

Nice job. An unusual Antelope indeed due to the band playing to the fireworks randomly appearing midset in the background.

The Pharmer’s Almanac has a nice writeup on this show. There’s a part at the beginning of Esther where a freight train is passing behind the venue and the rhythm of the song is matching the rhythm of the train spot on. Sheer coincidence, but ya gotta love when stuff like that happens!

definitely interpret that as a badge of honor, as you didn't spend your monday afternoon listening to 100 different BBJs like me (which may very well have been @uctweezer 's intention all along...)

@uctweezer this is twisted if true. Probably just a tolerance test for MJM 500 where the only way to win is identify a combination of Bouncings, Sparkles, and TTEs.
