If it's Monday, it must be tme for another Mystery Jam. As usual, we will be playing for an MP3 download courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). The hint will come on Tuesday and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...
Tuesday Hint: Phish has played 53 cities since their return to the stage on 3/6/09. This jam occurred in one of them.
Tuesday Hint #2: (For @benhatley). It's not "Theme."
Wednesday Answer: BLOG FTW!!!!!! Wait? Someone got it?!?! Damn it all to hell. This game sucks. In all seriousness, congratulations to @mainegabe for doggedly sniffing out the 9/24/99 "Wolfman's Brother." Nevertheless, the Blog will chalk this one up as a moral victory. See you all on Monday for the big Six-Oh...

Great choice.
theme from the bottom, 9/17/00, merriweather
I'll guess 7/26/99 Theme...although it sounds like an open-air venue vs. a shed.
Desert Sky '97 is a good guess, Forbin1. Especially with those Trey loopies.
might be theme same show... but someone already guessed that...

That doesn't really narrow it down!
Good job blog for making another day2!
I can definitely say that I have never heard this jam before.
(And I need to figure out what the heck song this is)
9.24.99 Wolfmans Brother
I worked for this one
Good call blog & nice try w/ this good pick but you'll have to wait for next week.
as for this 9/24/99 wolfman's, good call. the delay loop had me thinking, '99-'00. i'll have to pop that one in today. it's been SO long since i've listened to that show from start to finish. if i go to that one, i usually go straight to the sand> misty mtn hop combo.
congrats, mainegabe! job well done!
also, mystery jam folk, i think we can maybe chalk that one up in the win column. kudos, and good pick! as always, thanks for steering me toward a show i may not have popped in today! as much bad mouthing as i do about december '99, i freaking love that september/october tour. tons of good stuff in there...
Another tease that isn't in the chart is Them Changes from Wooster Ghost 2003
I think the blog would definetly have more wins under their belt but for me personally if I know the jam it's bc I knew them already from years of listening and not bc of searching for it. When I start searching I know that I'm most prob not gonna win bc there has got to be a phishhead who already knows it and loves phish as much as I do.
Life is good and phish helps...a lot.
BTW, give it up to the blog who made it for another Day2. Nice "moral" victory...
as for hunting down the mystery jam, i'm in the same boat. a couple weeks ago, i was certain we were dealing with a '99-'00 piper. i listened to about 15 pipers, got pissed, and quit! hunting usually equals doom...
